Your Privacy is important to us
Who We Are
At https://www.croydedevon.co.uk, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of visitors to our web site. In particular, we want you to know that we are not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. In our Privacy Policy, we’ve provided lots of detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, and what we do with this data once we’ve finished with it. We will not disclose information about our customers to third parties except where it is part of providing a service to you.
Types of data we collect
Website Cookies
Like most websites, the Croyde Devon website uses cookies to collect information. Cookies are small data files which are placed on your computer or other devices as you browse this website. They are used to ‘remember’ when your computer or device accesses our websites. Cookies are essential for the effective operation of our website. Some cookies collect information about browsing behaviour when you access this website via the same computer or device. This includes information about pages viewed, products added to your cart and purchased, and your journey around a website. We do not use cookies to collect or record information on your name, address or other contact details. Should you wish, you are able to delete cookies stored on your machine at any time, or disable cookies completely. For information on how to do this on your device/browser, please read this article.
Google Analytics
When someone visits https://www.croydedevon.co.uk we use a third party service called Google Analytics, to collect details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site, what page they entered the site (which helps us find out if our marketing is working), and at what stage they left the site. This information is collected and processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
Mailing Lists / Newsletters
Croyde Devon does not currently operate a newsletter or mailing list service directly from the website, therefore we do not require you to opt-in to any marketing literature. If this changes in the future, we’ll update our policy accordingly, but any data we hold on our users or customers will not be used for marketing purposes without your consent.
Contact Form
On the ‘contact us’ page of our website we have an enquiry form. If you complete this form, the information you provided is sent to us via secure email. We will only use this information to respond to your request. Your personal data will not be entered into any database for marketing purposes, and inline with our privacy policy, will not be passed on to any third party.
Online Shop Checkout
When you order a listing online, we need to know your contact information and billing information. This allows us to process and fulfil your order. We DO NOT collect or handle credit card data online. Payments are processed via Paypal and/or other payment gateways. Once your listing is approved, the information you have provided (business name, address, contact info, description etc) will be displayed on the website as a listing. You would therefore expect that the information will be used to contact you should any of our users require the services you supply.
Third-Party Websites
Given that https://www.croydedevon.co.uk operates an online directory via business listings, users will find links to other websites and services of our partners & advertisers. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our site. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our site, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.

Under GDPR, as a user of this website, you have the right to access, amend or delete any of your personal data that we hold. Please contact us if you wish to access this information.
